eSigning allows your clients to sign important paperwork online. Your agency is able to manage the progress of your eSign documents, view completed documents, as well as provide an audit trail in the corresponding timeline.

If your agency signs a tenancy agreement on behalf of a landlord, users can be set up as authorised signatories, giving them authority to sign a tenancy agreement on behalf of the landlord.

Enable the permission for Group Roles

First, you'll need to add the permission ElectronicSigning to the relevant Group Role(s).

 Note

You will need access to System Administration, to edit your Group Roles settings. Your appointed Group Administrator will have access to these permissions

  1. Click Tools on the main toolbar
  2. In the dropdown menu, click Templates and admin
  3. On the side menu, under System Tools, click System Administration
  4. Click Group Roles
  5. Click Edit next to the relevant Group Role
  6. Scroll down and select the relevant level of access (Read/Write, Full) alongside ElectronicSigning
  7. Click Save

Enable the Authorised Signatory

You can now set up authorised signatories for individual users who hold that role:

  1. Click Tools on the main toolbar
  2. In the dropdown menu, click Templates and admin
  3. On the side menu, under System Tools, click System Administration
  4. Click Group Users
  5. Search for the user in the Search bar, filter by Status and Branch (if required)
  6. Click Edit next to the user you want to permit as an authorised signatory 
  7. Scroll down and tick Authorised Signatory
  8. A warning message appears, click OK
  9. Click Save

 Warning

It is important the Authorised Signatory is aware that if a user selects for them to sign on behalf of a landlord and is not properly authorised to do so, the person named as Authorised Signatory may be personally liable for any obligations under those contracts

Disable the Authorised Signatory

  1. Click Tools on the main toolbar
  2. In the dropdown menu, click Templates and admin
  3. On the side menu, under System Tools, click System Administration
  4. Click Group Users
  5. Search for the user in the Search bar, filter by Status and Branch (if required)
  6. Click Edit next to the user you want to disable as an authorised signatory
  7. Scroll down and untick Authorised Signatory
  8. Click Save
