You can easily record solicitor conveyancing referrals on Alto. However, you must first grant consent for them. To do this:
- Click Contacts on the main toolbar
- Select the relevant contact from Recent & Favourite Contacts
- Alternatively, find the contact using the Search Contacts bar in the top right
- Click Contact on the side menu
- Click the Preference Centre top tab
- You can now record your client's consent status, the date consent was obtained, and by whom/or how this consent was gained

Once consent has been granted for conveyancing referrals via Alto:
- Click the Contact top tab
- Scroll down to the Solicitor fields, located in the Address section
- Add any relevant Solicitor Notes. These notes will then get added to the referral email that Alto will generate to your solicitor
- In the Referred (Ext) field, search for and click on one of your solicitors from the generated list. (If they are not already in Alto, you will have to add the solicitor as a new contact)
- Click Save and the Solicitor Referral email will be generated
