Once your PropertyFile account has been activated, you will need to configure and customise it to suit your agency. PropertyFile allows you to upload a logo, personalise the emails sent to your tenants, as well as the agency name and web address that is visible.

To configure PropertyFile, you must first ensure that it has been activated.

 Note

You will need access to System Administration, to edit your default settings. Your appointed Group Administrator will have access to these permissions

When you have activated PropertyFile, to add your agency name and website address:

  1. Click Tools on the main toolbar
  2. On the side menu, under System Tools, click PropertyFile
  3. On Alto PropertyFile Administration, click the Pencil alongside your Domain
  4. The PropertyFile Dashboard will open. Click General Configuration on the side menu
  5. Add your Agency name and Website address

Email notification settings

Email notifications can be setup to let you know when a user of PropertyFile has deleted their account so that you are able to update your settings within Alto.  

To check your branch default e-mail:

  1. Click Tools on the main toolbar
  2. On the side menu, under System Tools, click System Administration
  3. Click Branches
  4. Click Edit next to the relevant branch
  5. In the Email Address line, check the email is correct for your branch, or edit it accordingly
  6. Click Save

To configure the email address(es) for notifications to be sent to:

  1. On the side menu, under System Tools, click PropertyFile
  2. On Alto PropertyFile Administration, click the Pencil alongside your Domain
  3. The PropertyFile Dashboard will open. Click Notification Settings on the side menu
  4. Scroll down to Contact deletes their account. You have 2 tick box options
    1. Branch Default - The email address held against the branch will be notified when a contact deletes their account
    2. Custom - A box opens allowing you to enter an alternative email address(es) that you want to be notified when a contact deletes their account (You can enter multiple email addresses for these notifications by separating the emails by a comma)
  5. Click Save
