Adding a break clause

A break clause allows a tenancy to come to an end, prior to the stated tenancy end date, and may be enforced by either the landlord or the tenant. In Alto, you're able to add or amend the break clause, up until a proposed tenancy is finalised.

Adding a break clause from Progressions

  1. Click Progressions on the main toolbar
  2. Select the relevant property from the All Lettings list
    1.  Alternatively, find the property using the Search Lettings bar in the top right
  3. Click Edit Tenancy
  4. In the Break Clause field, enter the required text
  5. Click Save

Adding a break clause from the Property

  1. Click Property on the main toolbar
  2. Select the relevant property from Recent & Favourite Properties
    1.  Alternatively, find the property using the Search Properties bar in the top right
  3. The property Overview displays. Click Actions
  4. Click Lettings Progression
  5. Click Edit Tenancy
  6. In the Break Clause field, enter the required text
  7. Click Save

 Warning

In the Break Clause field, you're restricted to 255 characters. Any additional typing after the 255 characters will be lost when you save the tenancy details
