Setting up an admin fee on a property

You're able to charge a landlord a fee for a fixed amount, to be deducted from their account balance. This might be an administration fee.

  1. Click Property on the main toolbar
  2. Select the relevant property from Recent & Favourite Properties
    1.  Alternatively, find the property using the Search Properties bar in the top right
  3. The property Overview displays. Click Actions
  4. In the dropdown menu, click Charge
  5. Click Add Charge
  6. The Add Charge for window opens
    1. Choose the required Charge Date
    2. In the Frequency dropdown menu, click the required frequency to be applied to the charge
    3. In the Charge Item dropdown menu, click Fees, and click Administration Fee
    4. Amend the Description to something that better clarifies the nature of the charge, i.e. inspection fee
    5. Enter the Net Amount
    6. Change the VAT Rate, if required
    7. In the Collect from Account dropdown menu, click the account to make the deduction from
  7. Click OK

The specified charge will raise automatically overnight on the appropriate Charge Date. If you wish to raise the charge immediately:

  1. Tick the Raise Now tickbox
  2. Click Raise selected
  3. Click Close

The fee will show on the landlords record, within Transactions on the side menu. It'll also show on their Payments For This Landlord screen to be deducted from their next landlord statement.
