On a branch by branch basis, you can ensure that any tenant fees that you're able to charge as well as any lettings administration details (such as information that affects the rights and obligations of the tenants, owner and agent) are shown online on the portals.
The Tenant Fees Act 2019 was introduced to stop the charging of fees to tenants.
Note
You will need access to System Administration, to edit your default settings. Your appointed Group Administrator will have access to these permissions
To advertise your tenant fees online:
- Click Tools on the main toolbar
- In the dropdown menu, click Templates and admin
- On the side menu, under System Tools, click System Administration
- Click Branches
- Click Edit alongside each of your branches
- Scroll to the bottom and click Portal Settings
- In the Portal Fee Information field, type the details of your fees/details. You can type up to 4000 characters maximum including any mark-up needed for formatting
- Slide the toggle for Re-upload Properties? from red to green, to ensure the information is applied to existing live property listings
- Click Save
The changes made here will upload to the Zoopla portal in real time, whereas other portals may upload overnight to show the amendments the following day.
Warning
If you have previously been uploading your tenancy fees via the Agents page, any amendments made in Branch Settings will override the admin page. This override function only takes effect from Branch Settings, if you amend the fees in the Agents page, this will not pull back the information to Branch Settings within Alto
