Exporting the Schedule 23 report

You now have the file saved as a .csv. HMRC like the file submitted on their ROPL-01 submission template which can be found online if they haven't sent it to you. We recommend opening up the .csv saved on your computer, then copying and pasting the information in to the HMRC ROPL-01 submission template.

  1. Open the .csv file
  2. Highlight just the cells containing data from line 2. Right click and select Copyhmrc_report.png
  3. On the HMRC template, right click into the first cell on line 3 and click Paste Special
  4. Select Values (or Text if unavailable) and click OK. This will paste the information into the spreadsheet
    HMRC_report_sheet.png
  5. Save the file as an .xls or .xlsx file using Save As, and save it with the filename requested by HMRC in the notice

     Note

The HMRC ROPL-01 submission template contains a number of validation rules for each column and will highlight any issues with your data in red, that doesn't comply with HMRC’s requirements

Your return is now ready for submission as directed within the notice you have received.
