Completing an exchanged sale

Within Alto, completing a property purchase is a straightforward process.

This can be done from the sales progression screen which can be accessed in any one of two ways, either from Progressions or from Properties.

Completing an exchanged sale from Progressions

  1. Click Progressions on the main toolbar
  2. Click All Sales on the side menu
  3. Click the relevant sale from the list
  4. Click Actions
  5. In the dropdown menu, click Complete
  6. The Completed window opens. In the Completion section, confirm the Effective Date when the sale was completed. This ensures that the date is recorded accurately in the timelines
  7. Type in any relevant Notes
  8. Click Save
  9. Update the vendor(s) and purchaser(s) addresses as applicable; i.e. click Set to Completed Property to set the purchaser(s) address to that of the completed property, or click Edit Address to update it accordingly
  10. Click Save
  11. You may be offered the opportunity to create appropriate letters relating to the acceptance of the offer. These can be handled like any other letter

The property's status shows as Completed and the sale no longer appears in the Progressions list.

Completing an exchanged sale from Properties

  1. Click Properties on the main toolbar
  2. Select the relevant property from Recent & Favourite Properties
    1. Alternatively, find the property using the Search Properties bar in the top right
  3. Click Actions
  4. In the dropdown menu, click Sales Progression
  5. Click Actions
  6. In the dropdown menu, click Complete
  7. The Completed window opens. In the Completion section, confirm the Effective Date when the sale was completed. This ensures that the date is recorded accurately in the timelines
  8. Type in any relevant Notes
  9. Click Save
  10. Update the vendor(s) and purchaser(s) addresses as applicable; i.e. click Set to Completed Property to set the purchaser(s) address to that of the completed property, or click Edit Address to update it accordingly
  11. Click Save
