If a user account becomes locked (such as after 5 unsuccessful attempts at logging in, or suspicious activity is detected), the user will receive an email to their Login Name email address. The email will give the user information about how to unlock their account.

If you need to unlock a user's account that was locked prior to the change to Alto's authentication service, a System Administrator can do this:

  1. Click Tools on the main toolbar
  2. In the dropdown menu, click Templates and admin
  3. On the side menu, under System Tools, click System Administration
  4. Click Group Users
  5. Scroll down and find the account you need to unlock. In the Locked Out? column, click Unlock
  6. Click Unlock

The user can now login correctly to Alto.
