Test Migration - Record Review procedure

Once you have confirmation that your data has been migrated into your new Alto software during the test migration review, work your way through the following data records to check they have migrated over successfully.

This article includes: 

Property records

  1. Click Property on the main toolbar
  2. Click Groups in the top left
  3. In the Default Groups section, click All Properties
  • Look at the number of total properties in the bottom left corner. Is the number of properties on Alto correct? Are the property status' correct? 

  1. Click into each property and view the Overview
  • Is the property linked to the correct Landlord(s)? 

  1. Click Property on the side menu
  2. Click the Agency top tab
  • Are agency fees and management options correct? 

  1. Click the Property top tab
  • Are the general details (Address' etc) correct? 

  1. Click Timeline on the side menu
  • Have notes been brought across correctly? 

Contacts

  1. Click Contacts on the main toolbar
  2. Click Groups in the top left
  3. In the Default Groups section, click All Contacts
  • Is the number of Landlords/Tenants/Suppliers correct? (Look at the number in the bottom left corner)
  1. Click into a contact
  • Are contact details correct? (Telephone number, Address etc) 

  1. Click Timeline on the side menu
  • Have notes been brought across correctly?  

Landlords

  1. Click Contact on the side menu
  2. Click the Tax top tab
  • Is the Landlord overseas status correct? 

  1. Click the Payment Groups top tab
  • Are the Payment Groups correct? 
  • Are all of the Lettings Properties appearing in the Default Payment Group?

  1. Click the Bank Details top tab
  2. Click the Client Accounts top tab
  • Are Client and Contact Bank Details correct? 

Tenancy records

  1. Click Tenancy on the main toolbar
  2. Click Groups in the top left
  3. In the Default Groups section, click All Tenancies
  • Is the number of Tenancy records correct? (Look at the number in the bottom left corner)
  • Are the status' of the Tenancies correct? (Look at the left hand column) 

  1. Click into a Tenancy
  2. Click Tenancy on the side menu
  • Are the Term Details and Dates correct? 

  1. Click the Deposit top tab
  • Is the Deposit Scheme correct?  Is the Registration No (Number) correct? 

Dashboard

  • Are details showing correctly? (Mainly Dates, there will be no accounts)
