Using the Movement Book

The Movement Book can be used to display activities carried out in your Alto database during a specific period.  This can be useful if you've been out of the office for some time and wish to catch up on events that you have missed, or, if you hold a morning meeting reviewing the activities of the previous day(s).

You can scroll through the displayed list to see the changes that have been made and click the links within the events if you wish to access the records involved.

Displaying the Movement Book

The Movement Book can be accessed from Alto's homepage:

1. Click Home on the main toolbar
2. Click Movement Book on the Home screen side menu

By default, you will see the activities that have taken place recently in your own branch.

Changing the displayed branch

You can change which branches activities to display if you click the Branches dropdown menu. You can select to view just the particular activities of one specified branch or the activities of All Branches that you have permission to see.

Changing the displayed period

You can change the period to be displayed:

1. Click the magnifying glass dropdown menu
2. On the Date Range at the top, drag and drop the left side of the blue slider to the start date of the period that you wish to view
3. Drag and drop the right side of the blue slider to the end date of the period that you wish to view
4. Click the magnifying glass dropdown menu again to hide the filter

The display automatically refreshes to show activities that occurred during your selected date range.

Changing the displayed events

You can change what activities/events are to be displayed:

1. Click the magnifying glass dropdown menu
2. Click any orange coloured activities that you don't want to see, to turn them off and stop them displaying
3. Click any grey coloured activities that you do wish to see, to turn them on and display them
4. Click the magnifying glass dropdown menu again to hide the filter

The display automatically refreshes to show your selected activities during the date period.
