Warning
This is not recommended. For each session, Alto will cache what you are doing. If you have multiple sessions going at one time, this will cause Alto to get confused about which session is actually active
If you need to be able to access Alto on multiple tabs within Chrome, which is not recommended, you will need to first ensure that you have Maximum Concurrent Sessions set to above 1.
To do this:
- Log in to Alto
- Click Tools on the main toolbar
- In the dropdown menu, click Templates and admin
- On the side menu, under System Tools, click System Administration
- Click Group Users
- Scroll down and find the user you wish to up the Maximum Concurrent Sessions for and click Edit
- Maximum Concurrent Sessions will be set by default to 1. Change this to 2
- Click Save
To utilise the maximum concurrent sessions, you will need to ensure that the second window you have open for Alto is in an incognito window.
To open an incognito window in Chrome:
- Click the three dots at the top right of your Chrome browser window
- Click New incognito window
- Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Shift + Cmd + N (Mac)
Once you have the incognito window open, you can log in to Alto as normal. Please be aware that as it is an incognito window, you will need to add in your user details and not rely on Chrome having them saved.
