If you wish to restrict users ability to log in to Alto, you can set allowable login times. You may want to limit logging in to Alto purely on your users working days and hours.
To use this feature, you will first need to set the allowed log in times. Restrictions can then be assigned to individual users. If you don't wish to use this option, take no action and no restrictions will be applied.
- Click Tools on the main toolbar
- In the dropdown menu, click Templates and admin
- On the side menu, under System Tools, click System Administration
- Click Branches
- Click Edit alongside the relevant branch
- Scroll to the bottom and click Allowed Login Times
- Entering a range of From 00:00 To 23:59 means that there are no restrictions on the days (if you click Open All Day, you can do this quickly)
- Entering a range of From 00:00 To 00:00 means that there is no access on the days (if you click Closed All Day, you can do this quickly)
- Click Save
Note
The time To is not linked to a users session and so will not automatically log them out if they are still logged in when the end time is reached
You then need to select the users whose access you wish to restrict. You may not wish to restrict certain users such as managers.
- Click Tools on the main toolbar
- In the dropdown menu, click Templates and admin
- On the side menu, under System Tools, click System Administration
- Click Group Users
- Click Edit alongside the relevant user whose access you wish to restrict to the allowed login times
- In their record, tick Login Restricted by Time. This will restrict the users ability to log in to Alto to the days/times set in Allowed Login Times, for any and all branches to which they belong
- If you have users that you want to omit from this restriction, don't tick this box for them and they will retain the ability to log in at any time they choose
- Click Save
