Vebra to Alto terminology and icon guide

When moving across to Alto from Vebra Live, it's important that you're familiar with the terminology and icons used, as actions you're used to doing to perform certain tasks, may not be the same.

The dashboard is where you will notice the most differences, visually at least, however there are some processes in Alto that go by different names or have a slightly different way of doing things.
The list/table below correlates the most common changes.

Property record

Vebra Live term Alto term/icon Description
History Timeline

In Vebra, there are a series of tabs on Property/Person records to see historical events. They consist of History, Viewings, Marketing, Documents and Letters.

 

In Alto, within a Property record*, there's a Timeline side menu tab which keeps a log of all activity relating to that record. There are a range of filter options available such as Viewings, Marketing and Comms.

Create group of properties/Create group of people Match Group

In Vebra, you're able to create an adhoc group of properties or people. 

 

In Alto, the same functionality exists under a different name - Match Groups.

Event Actions

In Vebra, you would click Event to drive the next event. 

 

In Alto, the same functionality exists under a different name - Actions.

Photo handler Slideshow

In Vebra, if you were to double click a Photo, you would view a photo carousel of all the photos. 

 

In Alto, the same functionality exists under a different name - Slideshow.

Photos. Floorplan and EPC tabs Media (side menu tab)

In Vebra, media such as Photos, Floorplans and EPCs all had their own button or tab you would click.

In Alto, whilst they are also broken down into their respective tabs, they are housed in an overall side menu tab - Media.

Person record

E-mail @ icon

In Vebra, to send an email to a person record, you would click E-mail from the Event menu or double click the email address.

In Alto, the @ icon is present on the Overview side menu when you click Property, Contacts or Tenancy on the main toolbar. It opens up an Email window.

Text message Speech bubble icon

In Vebra, to send an SMS message to a person record, you would click Text message from the Event menu.

In Alto, the speech bubble icon is present on the Overview side menu when you click Property, Contacts or Tenancy on the main toolbar. It opens up an SMS Message window.

Sales

Vebra Live term Alto term/icon Description
Sales by solicitor

Sales Grouped by Solicitor

(Progressions)

In Vebra, all sales grouped by solicitor were accessed from the Sales menu.

In Alto, this is an option (Sales Grouped by Solicitor) found within Progressions on the main toolbar.

Show chain

In Vebra, if you were to click Show chain, you could view a graphical representation of the sales chain.

In Alto, the same functionality exists under a different name - Chain Overview. This is available once you select and view a sales progression in full from within Progressions on the main toolbar.

Contacts

Vebra Live term Alto term/icon Description
Vendors/Applicants/Third Parties (Solicitors, Board Contractors) Contacts

In Vebra, 'contacts' were classed as Solicitors, Estate agents, Board contractors etc.

In Alto, all people are known as Contacts

Messaging

Vebra Live term Alto term/icon Description
Attach sticky note + icon

In Vebra, to add a sticky note you would click Attach sticky note from the Messaging menu, accessed from the main toolbar.

In Alto, the + icon is present on the top right hand side of Alto, when you click Property, Contacts or Tenancy on the main toolbar. It allows you to add a sticky note.

Close all sticky notes Pin icon

In Vebra, to close all visible sticky notes you would click Close all sticky notes from the Messaging menu, accessed from the main toolbar.

In Alto, the Pin icon is present on the top right hand side of Alto, when you click Property, Contacts or Tenancy on the main toolbar. It allows you to show or hide sticky notes.
