Upgrade notes Version 2021.33

This Alto release went live on 2nd November 2021.

This article includes:

Feature Improvements

New Email Template feature

To save time and help ensure your communication to your customers is on brand, you can now select a template to use when sending an ad hoc email.

You can also send an email without creating a template. Alto will give you a default template with headers and footers which you can remove before sending.

 Note

If you need more space to view the content area, you can use the accordion on the top left, to minimise the details section

Maximum Deposit Calculation

So the maximum deposit amount displayed in Alto matches the deposit amount calculated on the TDS and DPS website, we’ve made a small change to the Alto calculation. Where the calculation results in more than 0.5 of a penny above the cap amount, we now round down to the nearest penny.

 Note

This improvement will result in the existing deposit amounts on some tenancies being flagged as exceeding the maximum amount by 1p

New Deposit Calculator

To help you calculate the deposit amount on a rental property, we’ve added a calculator function in the following places:

  • Property>Appraisal>Post appraisal
  • Property>Property>Marketing
  • Property>Actions>Let Agreed
  • Lettings Progression

Simply click on deposit_calculator.png to open up the Deposit Calculator.

The calculation defaults to 5 weeks rent but you can edit the number and period to say, 1 month, if required. Click the Update button to enter the amount from the calculator into the Deposit amount field.

You will notice the Post appraisal and Marketing deposit amounts round down to the nearest pound for marketing and portal upload purposes.

The existing maximum deposit amount warning messages and warning triangle feature remains in place.

Issues resolved

Let Agreed report

The following issues have been resolved:

  • The branch filter is now working
  • The offer price was missing from this report. This offer price is now included, enabling the calculation of the difference amount
  • If there was no asking price on a property included in the report search parameters, the report would return a Report Not Available message. This issue has now been resolved and the property will be included on the report with £0 in the asking price column

Current Stock Properties Let report

The following issues have been resolved:

  • The branch filter is now working
  • If there was no Made available date on a property included in the report search parameters, the report would return a Report Not Available message. This issue has now been resolved and these properties will be included on the report with no date in the Made available column. Properties with this date missing are usually imported from other CRMs where this data is not easily identifiable
