Alto Auctions is a connected online auction workflow embedded directly inside Alto. It helps you identify suitable stock, reduce fall-throughs, and complete sales faster.
Powered by Bamboo, it brings auction identification, pricing guidance and sale progression into your everyday Alto workflow - so auction stops being a separate side-process and becomes part of how your agency operates every day.
What are the benefits of using Alto Auctions?
- Faster completions - suitable properties can complete in around 6 weeks, with clearer timelines and committed buyer intent
- Improved stock visibility - stagnant stock is surfaced and made actionable earlier, before it gets stuck in pipeline limbo
- Auction confidence - guided pricing and suitability workflows mean you can recommend auction, no specialist knowledge needed
- Reduced friction - auction becomes part of Alto instead of sitting outside it, so fragmented systems disappear
- Operational flexibility - choose a self-managed or fully managed pathway (via Bamboo), with no contract tie-in
- Extra revenue from stock that might otherwise stagnate - agencies can earn £2,500 in auction fees per sale, on top of any vendor fee charged

Inside Alto Auctions
Alto Auctions runs as an embedded experience inside Alto, so you can move a property from stock to auction sale without leaving your CRM. It follows four stages.
Identify - Bamboo's data analysis surfaces properties with auction potential directly inside Alto, before the window for auction closes. You can search and filter by branch, then choose a property to list.
Guide - When you list a property, you receive structured pricing and suitability guidance built into the workflow, so confident auction conversations don't depend on specialist knowledge.
List - The auction listing is managed in Alto, with details, pricing and timeline all confirmed in one place.
Complete - The sale progresses through online auction with full visibility, completing in approximately 6 weeks.
From there, you choose how the sale is run:
- Self-managed - your team manages the auction workflow directly inside Alto
- Fully managed - Bamboo takes over running the workflow on your behalf, while you retain full visibility inside Alto
Either way, the sale is completed inside Alto.
Note
There's also a Help & resources section to help you get up and running quickly. It contains:
- An introduction video - you'll learn how to import your Alto properties, set reserve and guide prices, list a property for auction and track bids and manage your dashboard
- Downloads - Guides and documentation to help you get the most out of the platform, such as an Auction Launch Checklist and a Pricing Guide
FAQs
- Is auction right for all stock?
No. Bamboo's data analysis identifies which properties are likely to benefit from auction. Agents receive guidance, but the decision always stays with them.
- Does Alto Auctions replace Alto?
No. Alto stays your system of record. Alto Auctions is embedded inside it, adding auction capability to your existing workflow.
- What's the self-managed option?
Your team manages the auction workflow directly inside Alto. Bamboo provides the data and workflow infrastructure, while your agency runs the process.
- How quickly can properties complete?
Suitable properties can complete through online auction in approximately 6 weeks - significantly faster than private treaty for stagnant stock.
- How much does Alto Auctions Cost?
Alto Auctions is included in your Alto subscription with no additional platform cost. When an auction sale completes, the buyer pays a £5,000 fee. £2,500 of that goes directly to your agency, on top of your standard vendor fee. No contract required.
- What onboarding support is included?
You'll receive education, walkthroughs, pricing and sales strategy guidance, and training on the managed vs self-managed pathways.
