Setting up initial fees

1. Go to the Property in question, click Actions and then select Charge.

2.  To create a one off or regular letting fee click Add Letting Fee at the bottom of the screen. Fill out the necessary information and check that the system has calculated the fee correctly then click OK

3. To add a Commission – which calculates every time that Rent is Receipted, click Add Commission at the bottom of the screen and enter the necessary information.The first time that the commission is created you must ensure the Charge From date is actually set to before or on the same date as your Receipt of Rent, if you do not do this then the commission will not be calculated.  Once this information has been completed click ‘OK’.

4. To raise the Letting Fee you will need to tick Raise Now next to the correct item and then Raise Selected, or leave it un-raised and the system should raise it automatically once it becomes due.  You will not need to do anything to raise the commission, it will automatically raise upon the Receipt of Rent for the Tenancy.
