In Alto, you can already create Match Groups to view lists of contacts or properties and, if you have Property Management enabled, Tenancies.
We have now added a new feature which allows you to toggle your match groups between the usual "List View" and the new "Step-Through Mode" which will allow you to view the detail of each item and navigate through the list. Step-Through Mode is available on all match groups except the "All Match Groups" and "Recent & Favourites". It is also available on Search Results.
When you click on the toggle to step-through records, you can "pin" the list of records and add a description, for future reference. Pinning the list of records means the following:
- The exact list of records will be saved until you later decide to unpin or update the group.
- Alto will remember your current position in the list, including the tab you were reviewing.
- The description, and the pin will be visible against your match group, so you can remember your original intention between logins.
Any sorting or filtering applied to your list, is retained as you move into step-through mode. You are stepping through the list as viewed before you decided to pin the records.
Once in step-through mode, use the Next, Previous, First and Last buttons to navigate through the records; Alto will retain the tab that you have visible, rather than returning to the overview each time you step to a next record. Whilst in step-through mode, you will be able to use the Actions, Docs and Print menus.
You can use the toggle to switch back to list view at any time. You can return to your pinned step-through and Alto will remember exactly which record you were on. Alternatively, you an update your list and step-through a list of updated records which meet the group criteria.
If you wish to remove the pin from the group, click on the Pin icon to the left of the Group Name. You will then be returned to an updated list view of records which meet the group's criteria. If you don't remove the pin yourself, Alto will automatically discard the pinned list after 7 days of inactivity; I.E. you have not used the step-through mode to navigate through the records for 7 days.
