Alto provides you with a feature where you can create a listed group of contacts based on their Marketing Preferences.

 Note

The flags in the Opt-in section only relate to Client contacts. Therefore, you must tick Client in the Category section when creating a group, to enable the opt-in fields

To create a group of contacts based on their consent:

  1. Click Contacts on the main navigation bar
  2. Click Groups in the top left
  3. Click the + symbol alongside My Groups, to create a new match group
  4. The New Match Group window opens. In the Group section, enter a Name for the group
  5. In the Category section, tick Client
  6. Scroll down to the Opt-in section, which is now no longer greyed out. Click the relevant Marketing Preference options that you would like to report on (See examples below)
  7. Tick any additional criteria that you require across the sections and tabs
  8. Click Save
    1. You can edit the group once you've saved it. Click Edit below the group name on the side menu

Here are some examples to help you understand the Opt-in section:

  • This setting will include all clients opted-in to Property Matching

  • This setting will include all clients opted-out of General Marketing

  • These settings will include all clients where there is no record of a Marketing Preference for Conveyancing (via Alto) and Financial Service Referrals (via Alto)

  • Where more than one preference is selected, you'll create a group which includes any of those selected, (opted-in, opted-out, or unknown). Therefore, the example below will generate a group with all of your contacts included

  • The last example below will generate a group of contacts opted-in to Property Matching and opted-out for General Marketing
