Tenancy progression with Goodlord

Alto has integrated with Goodlord’s platform, enabling you to complete the full tenancy progression - including referencing, contracts and rent collection - quickly and effectively within Alto.

Goodlord offers a fully-integrated lettings platform, bringing all of the core elements of tenancy progression together under one roof - from offer letter to rent collection, and beyond.

What are the benefits of using Goodlord?

Setting up the integration

If you would like to request access, whether you're an existing Goodlord customer or if you want to get set up as a new customer:

1. Click Integrations on the main navigation bar
2. In the dropdown menu, click Marketplace
3. Click the Tenant Onboarding category
4. Below Goodlord, click View
   1. If you're an existing Goodlord customer and want to integrate your account with Alto, click Set Up Goodlord. Tick to confirm you have a Goodlord account, then click Enable integration. Select the branches you'd like to activate, then click Activate
   2. If you're a new customer wanting to get set up with Goodlord, click Register interest. Complete the short form and click Submit. Goodlord will then contact you to set up a no-obligation chat so you can find out more about them and how they integrate with Alto

To check on the status of your integration request and whether it's activated within Alto, you can click on Integrations > Marketplace > My Integrations > Goodlord Settings > Branches.  

Here, within the Branch integration section, you can view the current status for each branch, alongside the date of the most recent status change.

How does the integration work?

You run referencing and the rest of the tenancy progression in Goodlord, using the tenancy details held in Alto. Here's how the information moves between the two systems. 

Progressing the tenancy

In Alto, once an offer has been accepted by all parties on an Available or Let (Marketing) property, a Proposed tenancy is created in the Tenancies side menu tab of that property.

Importing the tenancy into Goodlord

To progress referencing, log in to Goodlord and import the tenancy. Goodlord pulls the tenancy, property, landlord and tenant details from Alto, so you don't need to re-key them. You then manage referencing and the rest of the tenancy progression in Goodlord. You won't see an option on the Alto progression screen to start Goodlord reference checks, and this is expected.

Finding completed documents in Alto

When referencing and tenancy progression are complete in Goodlord, the completed documents - such as reference reports and tenancy agreements - sync back into Alto, in the Documents section of the tenancy record.
