Within Alto, you'll earn commission every time you make a successful referral with one of our linked partners or conveyancers.

To stay on top of things, you can keep track of all of your referrals - and any commission due - with the Referrals dashboard.

How do I open the Referrals dashboard?

  1. Click Reports on the main navigation bar
  2. In the dropdown menu, click Referrals dashboard

What can I see in the dashboard?

The dashboard brings together referrals made through both our referral integrations (such as AnyVan and Zero Deposit) and Conveyancer referrals/cases, giving you an analytical, graphical view so you can easily understand:

  • The number of referrals made
  • The status of each referral, at an individual contact level (see the table below)
  • Who your top referrers are
  • Any upcoming referral fees (only visible to Group Administrators)

What does each referral status mean?

Status What it means Payment stage (Group Administrators)
Referred One or more referrals have been sent to a contact but are still pending Your potential pipeline payment
Instructed The contact has taken up one of the referrals sent to them Payment confirmed for when the transaction completes
Expired The contact didn't take up a referral within the validity period (for conveyancer referrals, this is the [X]-day period the quote is valid) -
Payment due A successful referral resulted in an instruction, is tied to a transaction, and that transaction is now complete Payment now due
Invoiced A referral that has been invoiced Payment that has been invoiced

Viewing the full conveyancer table

For conveyancer referrals, you can click View full Conveyancer table to drill into leaderboard details, from which you can view information such as:

  • The Property address
  • Links to view the contact (Client), the Property, and the sales progression
  • Status badges for tracking
  • Referral notes, so you can more easily understand the latest details

 Best practice

You might find this information useful for running any incentives programs, understanding how different conveyancers perform compared to others, as well as tracking and understanding what payments are scheduled (i.e. referral fees)
