Making Tax Digital Export
This new feature went live on 28th April.
We’ve released a new Making Tax Digital export process to help you support landlords who require quarterly income and expenditure records.
From the landlord contact record, you can now flag whether a landlord requires Making Tax Digital statements. Once selected, Alto automatically creates a quarterly Landlord MTD Export management date, helping you track when statements need to be produced.
With this update:
- You can flag landlords as requiring Making Tax Digital statements from the Tax tab of the landlord contact record
- Alto creates a quarterly management date automatically
- The management date appears on the landlord record and in reporting areas such as the Property Management Dashboard
- You can record the landlord’s accounting software and add notes about their Making Tax Digital requirements
- You can generate a .csv export file from Docs > Send Making Tax Digital Statement
- The file includes landlord income and expenditure transactions, which can be shared with the landlord or their accountant
This helps landlords maintain digital records for Making Tax Digital, while allowing you to manage the process from within Alto.
Alto does not submit information directly to HMRC. The export file is designed to support the landlord or their accountant when preparing Making Tax Digital submissions.
For more information, see Making Tax Digital for Landlords - User Guide.
Analytics - Property Review Date now available in the sales model
This new feature went live on 27th April.
The Property Review Date field is now available in the sales model within Alto Analytics.
Previously, this field was available in the lettings model for reporting purposes, but not within the sales model.
With this update:
- Property Review Date can now be used in sales reporting
- The field is available when creating custom reports
- The field can also be used in Alto IQ queries
This gives you more flexibility when reporting on sales properties and helps you include review dates in custom dashboards, analysis, and natural-language reporting through Alto IQ.
