E-Mail Marketing allows you to track how applicants interact with marketing emails sent from Alto, helping you follow up with engaged clients more effectively. It's also a way of managing the follow up of web style lists and property brochures that have been emailed to clients.
Alongside this, the Click Stats widget on the Dashboard provides a real time overview of email engagement, including opens, clicks, and delivery statistics. This can help you identify interested applicants, prioritise follow ups, and monitor the effectiveness of your property marketing.
If the email was an HTML embedded style marketing email, you'll even see which properties an applicant has clicked on and how many times they clicked on the property to view more information.

E-Mail Marketing provides you with a real time update of marketing emails sent from Alto within a given time period, and the subsequent user interaction with that email.
The E-Mail Marketing screen is split into several sections which help you monitor applicant engagement and manage follow-ups.
The Applicants section
The Applicants section displays applicants who have successfully received a marketing email within the selected time period.
By default, applicants are ordered by:
- Outstanding follow ups
- Highest number of clicks
- Highest number of opens
For each applicant, you'll also see
- Email address and contact details
- Number of marketing emails delivered
- Number of properties marketed
- Number of email opens
- Number of property clicks
Understanding the applicant metrics
- E-Mails - Number of marketing emails successfully delivered to the applicant
- Properties - Number of properties marketed to the applicant
- Opens - Number of times the applicant has opened the marketing emails
- Clicks - Number of times the applicant has clicked on a property link within an HTML embedded web style marketing email
If you click on an applicant, you can set their marketing follow ups as complete. If you do, this will remove them from the list.
If you have added comments against any of the properties marketed to the applicant, you have the option of adding those to the property and/or contacts Timeline.
The Marketed Properties section
When you select an applicant, the Marketed Properties section displays all properties that have been marketed to them.
By default, properties are ordered by:
- Highest number of clicks
- Highest level of interaction
Interactions can include:
- Booked viewings
- Tasks
- Comments or notes added against the property
This allows you to quickly identify which properties the applicant has shown the most interest in.
Available follow up actions
From the Marketed Properties section, you can:
- Book a viewing
- Add a task
- Add a note (You can add notes against the marketing follow up, with the option to create a File Note and add it to the Timeline)
- Send an email
- Send an SMS
- Remove the property from the follow up list
Note
If a viewing or task has been booked against the property and associated with the same contact, a green dot will be visible alongside the relevant icon
Understanding the Click Stats widget (on the Dashboard)

This allows you to quickly monitor the performance of your marketing emails and applicant engagement levels.

- Click Dashboard on the Home screen side menu
- Scroll down to the Click Stats widget
Email statistics are displayed based on the dashboard filter(s) applied to the branch and negotiator, as well as the time period set on the widget itself.
There is also the further option for you to view statistics based on whether the negotiator is one of the following:
- Email Sender
- Applicant Owner (Contact's negotiator)
- Property Owner (Property Negotiator)
The Click Stats widget displays:
- E-Mails Sent - All marketing emails sent to applicants
- Delivered - Successfully delivered marketing emails
- Opened - Successfully delivered marketing email that were opened
- Clicked - When an HTML embedded style marketing email is sent to a customer and they take action by clicking on a property for more information

When you click on a segment of the Click Stats widget, the E-Mail Marketing screen displays with the same filter options as per the widget.
