Withdrawing a sale in progress

There may be times where one of the parties involved in a sale chooses to withdraw from the property purchase. Either the vendor or the purchaser may wish to withdraw from the sale, so it's important you follow the appropriate procedure depending upon which party is withdrawing and which way the sales progressions screen is being accessed from.

Withdrawing a sale can be done in any one of two ways, either from Progressions or from Properties.

Withdrawing the vendor in a sale from Progressions

  1. Click Progressions on the main navigation bar
  2. In the dropdown menu, click NEW Sales progressions
  3. You can filter the sales by Branch, Conveyancer, Sales Progressor or Status if you need to narrow down the number of sales listed. Click View full progression alongside the relevant sale in the list
  4. Click Actions
  5. In the dropdown menu, click Withdrawal by Vendor
  6. The Withdrawal by Vendor window opens.

If the property is to be re-advertised, click Available from within the Property Revert dropdown menu
  7. In the New Price field, enter the sale amount that's to be advertised
  8. Action a board change by completing the relevant fields, if required
  9. Type in any relevant Notes
  10. Click Save
  11. At this point, you may be given the opportunity to create and generate the appropriate letters relating to the withdrawal. Tick which letters you wish to generate and click Open Letters Now.
They can then be edited, finalised and sent like any other letter
For more information on how to Edit and send an event driven letter, click here

The property's status shows as Available and the sale no longer appears in the NEW Sales progressions list.
