Updating an exchanged sale after failing to complete

You can update an exchanged sale to show that the property purchase failed to complete.

This can be done in any one of two ways, either from Progressions or from Properties.

Failing to complete a sale from Progressions

  1. Click Progressions on the main navigation bar
  2. In the dropdown menu, click NEW Sales progressions
  3. You can filter the sales by Branch, Conveyancer, Sales Progressor or Status if you need to narrow down the number of sales listed. Click View full progression alongside the relevant sale in the list
  4. Click Actions
  5. In the dropdown menu, click Failed to Complete
  6. The Failed to Complete window opens.

    In the Board Change section, action a board change by completing the relevant fields, if required
  7. Type in any relevant Notes
  8. Click Save
  9. At this point, you may be given the opportunity to create and generate the appropriate letters relating to the completion failure. Tick which letters you wish to generate and click Open Letters Now.
    They can then be edited, finalised and sent like any other letter

The property's status shows as Withdrawn and the sale will appear in the NEW Sales progressions list if you filter by the Incomplete/Failed Status.

Failing to complete a sale from Properties

  1. Click Properties on the main navigation bar
  2. Select the relevant property from Recent & Favourite Properties
    1. Alternatively, find the property using the Search Properties bar in the top right
  3. Click Actions
  4. In the dropdown menu, click Sales Progression
  5. Click Actions
  6. In the dropdown menu, click Failed to Complete
  7. The Failed to Complete window opens.

  8. Type in any relevant Notes
  9. Click Save
