Once contracts have been exchanged, the final step is to record the sale as complete. Completing the sale updates its status to Completed and finalises all associated progression milestones.
Completing an exchanged sale can be done in any one of two ways, either from Progressions or from Properties.
Completing an exchanged sale from Progressions
- Click Progressions on the main navigation bar
- In the dropdown menu, click NEW Sales progressions
- You can filter the sales by Branch, Conveyancer, Sales Progressor or Status if you need to narrow down the number of sales listed. Click View full progression alongside the relevant sale in the list
- Click Actions
- In the dropdown menu, click Complete
- The Completed window opens.
In the Completion section, confirm the Effective Date when the sale was completed. This ensures that the date is recorded accurately in the timelines - Type in any relevant Notes
- Click Save
- Update the purchasers (Applicant) and Vendor(s) addresses as applicable; i.e. click Set to Completed Property to set the purchasers address to that of the completed property, or click Edit Address to update it accordingly
- Click Save
- At this point, you may be given the opportunity to generate the appropriate letters relating to the property exchange. Tick which letters you wish to generate and click Open Letters Now.
They can then be edited, finalised and sent like any other letter.

The property's status shows as Completed and the sale will appear in the NEW Sales progressions list if you filter by the Completed Status.

- Click Properties on the main navigation bar
- Select the relevant property from Recent & Favourite Properties
- Alternatively, find the property using the Search Properties bar in the top right
- Click Actions
- In the dropdown menu, click Sales Progression
- Click Actions
- In the dropdown menu, click Complete
- The Completed window opens.
