You can update the estimated target dates for exchanging contracts and completing a property purchase. Keeping these target dates accurate helps you forecast upcoming exchanges and completions, and ensures your sales progression reports reflect realistic expectations.
Target dates can be updated in any one of two ways, either from Progressions or from Properties.
Updating sales progression target dates from Progressions
- Click Progressions on the main navigation bar
- In the dropdown menu, click NEW Sales progressions
- You can filter the sales by Branch, Conveyancer, Sales Progressor or Status if you need to narrow down the number of sales listed. Click View full progression alongside the relevant sale in the list
- To indicate when it's expected that contracts will exchange, in the Exchange & Completion Dates section, update the Exchange Target Date. To do this, type in a new date, or, click the calendar to select the date
- To indicate when it's expected that the sale will complete, update the Completion Target Date. To do this, type in a new date, or, click the calendar to select the date
Best practice
We recommend entering dates into both fields, even if the dates are only estimates. If they're left blank, this sale won't be included in either the Potential Exchanges, or the Potential Completions Classic reports
Updating sales progression target dates from Properties
- Click Properties on the main navigation bar
- Select the relevant property from Recent & Favourite Properties
- Alternatively, find the property using the Search Properties bar in the top right
- Click Actions
- In the dropdown menu, click Sales Progression
- To indicate when it's expected that contracts will exchange, in the Exchange & Completion Dates section, update the Exchange Target Date. To do this, type in a new date, or, click the calendar to select the date
- To indicate when it's expected that the sale will complete, update the Completion Target Date. To do this, type in a new date, or, click the calendar to select the date
