Renegotiating a sale in progress

You can renegotiate the sale price or terms of a property purchase in progress. 

This allows you to update the offer amount, adjust the target exchange or completion dates, reassign the negotiator, and add notes so everyone is working off the same information.

Renegotiating a sale can be done in any one of two ways, either from Progressions or from Properties.

Renegotiating a sale from Progressions

  1. Click Progressions on the main navigation bar
  2. In the dropdown menu, click NEW Sales progressions
  3. You can filter the sales by Branch, Conveyancer, Sales Progressor or Status if you need to narrow down the number of sales listed. Click View full progression alongside the relevant sale in the list
  4. Click Actions
  5. In the dropdown menu, click Renegotiate Sale
  6. The Renegotiate Sale window opens.

    In the Renegotiation Details section, amend the Amount accordingly
  7. Update the Exchange Target date, if required
  8. Update the Completion Target date, if required
  9. If required, in the Negotiator dropdown menu, click a name to reassign the sale to someone else (change the deal owner)
  10. Type in any relevant Notes
  11. Click Save
  12. At this point, you may be given the opportunity to create and generate the appropriate letters relating to the acceptance of the offer. Tick which letters you wish to generate and click Open Letters Now.
    They can then be edited, finalised and sent like any other letter

Renegotiating a sale from Properties

  1. Click Properties on the main navigation bar
  2. Select the relevant property from Recent & Favourite Properties
    1. Alternatively, find the property using the Search Properties bar in the top right
  3. Click Actions
  4. In the dropdown menu, click Sales Progression
  5. Click Actions
  6. In the dropdown menu, click Renegotiate Sale
  7. The Renegotiate Sale window opens.

    In the Renegotiation Details section, amend the Amount accordingly
  8. Update the Exchange Target date, if required
  9. Update the Completion Target date, if required
  10. If required, in the Negotiator dropdown menu, click a name to reassign the sale to someone else (change the deal owner)

  12. Click Save
