Improvements

Works order notes

This improvement went live on 24th September.

We've changed how notes work on a works order. Instead of a single notes field, you can now add individual notes to build up a dated history of a maintenance job.

With this update:

  • Each note is date and time stamped and records who added it, so your team can follow the full history of a job
  • Each note is also written to the related property and supplier Timeline, so you can pick up the history from the works order, the property record, or the supplier record
  • You can edit the text of a note you've added

Note

Works order notes are for your agency's internal use. They're separate from the works order Summary and Description, and aren't shared with landlords or tenants via PropertyFile or Keyflo

For more information, see Adding notes to a works order.

Organising documents into folders

This improvement went live on 21st September.

We've updated the Documents tab across the property, contact and tenancy records, so you can organise uploaded documents into folders and find them more easily.

With this update:

  • You can group documents into folders - Alto provides a standard set for each record type, and you can create your own
  • You can rename a document once it's been uploaded
  • You can search by document name to find a file across all folders
  • The Documents tab now works the same way on property, contact and tenancy records

For more information, see Uploading and organising documents.
