If your E-Sign document needs to be re-sent to the recipient, the original document can be located on the Timeline or from the ESignatures Dashboard widget, and re-sent to one or all recipients at any stage before it has been fully signed.
Should any amendments or changes need to be made to the document or if the E-Sign document is no longer required by either the recipient or agency, the process is to void the original document and re-send a new one to all the recipients.
Re-send
A document can be re-sent to one or all recipients at any stage before it has been signed, providing it is the same email address which the document was first sent.
The steps below can be followed from the relevant property, contact or tenancy record - it merely depends on where you created the E-Sign document.
- Click Properties on the main navigation bar
-
Select the relevant property from Recent & Favourite Properties
- Alternatively, find the property using the Search Properties bar in the top right
- Click Timeline on the side menu
- Locate the E-Sign entry and click the Pending status to the right of the entry
- The Signatories window opens. A document can be either re-sent to an individual, or to all recipients
- Click
next to the individual to send it to a single recipient who is yet to sign - Click Resend All to resend it to all parties who are yet to sign
- Click
- A message appears in the top right corner confirming that an Electronic Signing request is queued to re-send
You can also re-send a document from eSignatures on the Home screen side menu.
- Click the Alto Logo (Home tab) on the main navigation bar
- Click eSignatures on the Home screen side menu
- You may want to click the Branch and Negotiator dropdown menus to change your view, and/or use the dropdown menu to adjust the time period
- In the Awaiting Signature Signing Requests For ..... section, find the relevant document within the list and click the Resend All Follow-up Action. (Resends to all unsigned recipients)
Void
You can void a document if it's no longer valid. This could be due to the recipient's email being incorrect or because the document content requires a change or is no longer required.
Note
You can only void documents which haven't been signed by all parties. Therefore, it isn't possible to void a finalised E-Sign document if all parties have signed it
The steps below can be followed from the relevant property, contact or tenancy record - it merely depends on where you created the E-Sign document.
Click Void
- In the Reason for voiding window, enter a reason for voiding the document and click OK
- Click Yes to confirm that you want to void the request
- A message appears in the top right corner confirming that an Electronic Signing request is queued to void
Each recipient will receive an email notifying them that the document has been voided with the reason you added. The Timeline entry icon will change to Voided.
You can also void a document from eSignatures on the Home screen side menu.
- Click the Alto Logo (Home tab) on the main navigation bar
- Click eSignatures on the Home screen side menu
- You may want to click the Branch and Negotiator dropdown menus to change your view, and/or use the dropdown menu to adjust the time period
- In the Awaiting Signature Signing Requests For ..... section, find the relevant document within the list and click the Void Document Follow-up Action
- In the Reason for voiding window, enter a reason for voiding the document and click OK

- A message appears in the top right corner confirming that an Electronic Signing request is queued to void
Both the ESignatures Dashboard widget and eSignatures on the Home screen side menu will update with a breakdown of how many documents have been voided.
