Our product development team is constantly innovating, to build a better Alto software experience.
Every time we've added a new feature, we've notified all our users within Alto itself utilising in product messaging.
However, for a full list of the changes on a monthly basis such as new features, any improvements or product fixes to our software, please see the relevant articles in our Release Notes sections of the Help Centre.
Product fixes
Fixed an issue with a field on the Properties>Property>Agency tab not working
We were made aware of an issue whereby the Discount field on the Agency tab (Properties>Property>Agency) wasn't working.
This has now been fixed as we have made an adjustment to the discount on an invoice so that it now not only takes the discount into effect but also includes the discount description.
Fixed an issue with being unable to create an invoice inclusive of VAT
We have renamed a tick box on the property, agency sales specific, to state if the charged sales fees includes any disbursements.
Fixed an issue when emailing an EPC and it not sending the attachment
We have fixed a caching issue with attaching an EPC to an email.
Fixed an issue with the logic for lead import vs a duplicate contact
We have implemented fixes on detecting potential duplicate leads being imported into Alto.
Fixed an issue with formatting from the property description not carrying over into the marketing emails
We have released a fix which has improved the formatting of the web style lists to incorporate it carrying across the same formatting from the property description.
Fixed an issue with branch settings for working day start/end
We were made aware of an issue whereby branch settings for working day start/end didn't appear to do anything.
This has now been fixed.
Fixed an issue with term dates pulling through the first term management type on the tenancy
We have released a fix whereby when a tenancy management type changes, this is now reflected in the Event Dates within the Property Management Dashboard, rather than showing the original tenancy management type.
Fixed an issue with appraisal timeline events
We have fixed the appraisal Timeline event logic so that this now records the person who booked the appraisal in, rather than the negotiator on the property record. (Reports were unaffected by this change as they always held this information correctly).
Fixed an issue with the Rightmove JSON feed not sending failure messages to Rightmove
Following a recent upgrade of the Rightmove feed, we were made aware of an issue whereby emails weren't being sent to agents by Rightmove with a reason for their property failing to load to the portal.
This has now been fixed and you should now start to receive these feed error emails again.
Fixed an issue with international phone numbers being used for ID & AML checks
This product fix went live on 24th November.
We were made aware of an issue whereby customers (clients) with international phone numbers were prevented from being sent ID & AML checks.
This has now been fixed, and checks can now be sent if the phone number is entered with the international code, i.e. +353.
Fixed issues with the Schedule 23 report
This product fix went live on 11th November.
We've made a number of fixes for the Schedule 23 report:
- The report now excludes the following landlord records where there is NO income in the report period, i.e. all these landlords will appear if there is any income in the period, even if anonymised:
- Tenancies with a vacate date before the report start date and the tenancy status is Vacated
- Anonymised landlord contacts, regardless of date they were anonymised
- Archived properties where they were archived before the report start date
- Properties where all payment groups ended before the report start date, i.e. no longer linked to a property
- If a property has been moved between landlord payment groups, the report will show the bank details from the current payment group
- Previously the report could include incorrect landlord bank details for shared ownership properties. This issue has been resolved
Landlords may appear on the report with £0 income when they didn't own the property in the report period, i.e. they previously owned the property or they didn’t own the property until after the report start date. Alto does not store a legal change of ownership date, only the date the user changed the ownership which isn’t accurate for the purposes of HMRC hence they will be included.

Fixed an issue when creating overseas tax periods whereby they don't default to 0% if an exemption number is entered
This product fix went live on 11th November.
We were made aware of an issue whereby if a landlord’s tax exemption certificate number was copied and pasted into an overseas tax period (as opposed to being manually entered), the tax % was not updated to 0%. This caused tax to be deducted from landlords and if this wasn’t noticed and the tax is paid to HMRC, the landlord had to claim the tax back directly from HMRC.
This has now been fixed and the NRL exception number can now the pasted into the field.
Fixed an issue with the sending of Keyflo reminders
A fix has been deployed so that Keyflo reminder tasks are sent for any amended viewings rather than the original viewing date.
