Our product development team is constantly innovating, to build a better Alto software experience.
Every time we've added a new feature, we've notified all our users within Alto itself utilising in product messaging.
However, for a full list of the changes on a monthly basis such as new features, any improvements or product fixes to our software, please see the relevant articles in our Release Notes sections of the Help Centre.
New features
To view a log of the latest new features within Alto:
- Sign in to Alto
- Click the Alto icon in the bottom right corner of the screen
- Click Product updates
- A summary list of our Product updates display. Some new feature updates will include links that take you to the relevant page within Alto. Popup messaging and/or guides may then launch to provide you with more information on what's new
Analytics - Property Management: Maintenance dashboard released
This new feature went live on 30th June.
As part of our Analytics functionality, we've added a new Property Management: Maintenance dashboard.
The report provides insights on open and completed works orders on rental properties. In addition, property managers can:
- Identify long running maintenance jobs, and analyse those by category and supplier
- Analyse the spend on properties over time, by category. This information can then be provided to their landlords which could be used to spot trends that could help them reduce maintenance costs in future
Analytics - OFSI compliance dashboard released
This new feature went live on 30th June.
To support the recent manual OFSI check feature that has been added to Alto, we've added a new OFSI compliance dashboard as part of our Analytics functionality.
The report helps track manual OFSI checks for tenants and landlords. It is based on the data entered on the Compliance tab in the contact record. (It doesn't cover checks done by a third party).
Analytics - Property Management: Compliance dashboard released
This new feature went live on 17th June.
As part of our Analytics functionality, all Property Management users in Alto can now access our new Property Management: Compliance dashboard.
The report covers all your management and critical dates, including Gas, EICR and EPC, in addition to:
- Properties with missing dates
- A 12-month look ahead at what's due
- Properties at risk of not meeting minimum C ratings for upcoming EPC legislation
- Filters for property manager, landlord, address and management type
Alto property workflow - AI generated rooms and descriptions
This new feature went live on 5th June.
As part of our new property workflow, on the Pre-marketing tab, AI processing can now use the images and floorplans to create rooms and their respective descriptions (including populating the room measurements automatically from the floorplan measurements). All the text (copy) created will be specific to that property.
Alto property workflow - Mapping/street view location added
This new feature went live on 3rd June.
As part of our new property workflow, on the Pre-marketing tab, we’ve added the Mapping/street view location so you can now at-a-glance check and if necessary edit the map location and street view image that will be published on a listing.
The Mapping/street view location has also been added into the Keyflo Owner listing approval 'owner task' enabling owners to verify this prior to you publishing the listing.
Improvements
Analytics - Reports now tagged
This improvement went live on 26th June.
As we release more dashboards into Analytics, we've introduced tags to make it easier for you to find what you're looking for on the Analytics home screen.
Alto property workflow - Auto tag images against rooms
This improvement went live on 23rd June.
As part of our new property workflow, on the Pre-marketing tab, we’ve extended the AI capabilities to allow you to auto-tag images against rooms with 1 click.
The AI processes the room descriptions and associates the relevant images with each room.
Alto property workflow - access the full property record
This improvement went live on 19th June.
As part of our new property workflow, we’ve updated the right hand panel to give you an easy way of directly clicking through to the full property record in Alto.
You might find this helpful when you're looking at the marketing material, but then want to complete another action related to the property.
Alto property workflow - EPC exemption
This improvement went live on 18th June.
As part of our new property workflow, you can now mark an EPC as exempt for a property in our Energy efficiency rating section. In doing so, you must provide an exemption reason.
Keyflo - Owner listing approval 'owner task' now includes brochures
This improvement went live on 17th June.
The Keyflo Owner listing approval 'owner task' has been improved based on customer feedback to now include a link to the brochure.
Previously, only the online version of the listing was available to review.
Note
Brochures created in Alto will be updated to the latest version whenever a task is sent/resent/re-opened.
It will not be a live copy of the brochure if you make amends after sending it to a contact (client).
Analytics improvements
This improvement went live on 9th June.
Based on your feedback, we’ve made some improvements to our Analytics functionality:
- Added more data to the Applicants dashboard, including last viewing date, last contact date, applicants with no viewings, min/max bedrooms and new build requirements
- Landlord and tenant contact details are now included on the Lettings pipeline dashboard, along with property type, furnished/unfurnished, number of bedrooms and break clause
- Property type, new build and number of bedrooms are on the Sales pipeline dashboard
Alto property workflow - Copying mapping/street view location
This improvement went live on 6th June.
As part of our new property workflow, on the Pre-marketing tab and in the Mapping section, we've added buttons to allow quick copying of the Mapping/street view location (where the default location is incorrect).
This can be used to quickly sync the street view location if the map pin is moved (or vice versa).
Client activity page - filter by task type
This improvement went live on 4th June.
We’ve added a task Type filter option to the Client activity page (accessed via the Client activity notification).
Soon, we’ll be introducing additional task types, and so this filter option should help you see/search for specific tasks that you’re interested in.
