New compliance tab - ability to conduct and record OFSI checks
This new feature went live on 28th May.
Within Contacts, we've created a new Compliance top tab so you have a place to record your manual checks for Anti-money laundering and for Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) financial sanctions checks.
Note
As of 14th May 2025, letting agents in the UK are legally required to conduct financial sanctions checks, regardless of the rental amount.
Every landlord, tenant and guarantor must be checked against the UK's sanctions list and any individuals matched must be reported to the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) and a halt put to the rental.
Within the Compliance top tab, there's a new section for Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI). Here, you can click OFSI Consolidated List which takes you to the official government website where you can conduct the checks for your contact.
Once you've conducted the check, you can click Add OFSI Check whereby you can then click thumbs up or thumbs down to record the outcome of the check. Any details of the checks that you feel necessary can be entered within the Notes field.
