How does it work?

What are the benefits of using standard Analytics?
Standard Analytics offer a range of improvements over Classic reports, helping you access and present your data more effectively.
Some of the key features include:
- The built in Presentation mode, which allows you to display dashboards in a clear, visual format - ideal for team briefings or board meetings.
- Click Reports on the main navigation bar
- In the dropdown menu, click Analytics
- Open the dashboard you want to present
- Click the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right hand corner, then click Present

The Report scheduling feature, which enables reports to be sent automatically to your inbox or shared with colleagues within your Alto group. This ensures you stay up to date with key performance insights without needing to manually check dashboards.
- Click Reports on the main navigation bar
- In the dropdown menu, click Analytics
- Open the dashboard you want to schedule
- Click the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right hand corner, then click Create schedule

The Show underlying data feature, which enables you to view the data behind any chart or KPI at a more detailed level. You can also export this data as a .csv file, making it easy to analyse further in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Click Reports on the main navigation bar
- In the dropdown menu, click Analytics
- Open the dashboard you want to view
- Hover over a chart, KPI, or table and click the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right hand corner, then click Show underlying data
Note
Standard Analytics dashboards are read only and cannot be edited.

FAQs
- How reliable is this data?
The data in Analytics refreshes every 2 hours. Any changes made within the past two hours may not be reflected in the data in your dashboards.
- The data I want isn't there - what do I do?
Alto Analytics is still being enhanced and improved. If there is something specific you want to see, please use the Leave feedback link at the top of the page in Alto to let us know. In the meantime, you can still access the Classic reports via Reports on the main navigation bar.
- I've made changes I no longer want to see, how can I revert back to the default view?
Click the dropdown menu next to your filters and select Reset Dashboard to revert back to the default settings.
- Some analytics are not showing what I expected - why?
First, check your filters are all correct for what you want to see.
If the data in your analytics still doesn't look right, click the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right of any tile and select Show underlying data to see what the data is based on. Remember, the data refreshes every 2 hours. Any changes made within the past two hours may not be reflected in the data in your dashboards.- The filter I want isn't there - why?
