The Sales performance dashboard provides a comprehensive view of how your business is performing across the sales lifecycle, from appraisal through to completion.

It helps you analyse activity, conversion, and revenue performance across your branches within a selected date range.

 Note

We’re gradually replacing Alto’s Classic reports with the more insightful and flexible Analytics

Reports in Analytics are organised into dashboards. Each dashboard contains multiple tabs, with each tab displaying a collection of reports (charts, KPIs, and tables).

Accessing the Sales performance dashboard

  1. Click Reports on the main navigation bar
  2. In the dropdown menu, click Analytics
  3. Click the Sales performance dashboard

Once your dashboard is open, you can click the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right hand corner to:

  • Present dashboards in a clear, visual format for meetings
  • Schedule reports to be sent automatically to your inbox or team

Plus, you can hover over a chart, KPI, or table and click the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right hand corner to:

  • View underlying data to explore and export detailed information

What does this dashboard show?

The Sales performance dashboard provides a structured view of your sales performance, allowing you to:

  • Analyse performance across the full sales lifecycle (appraisal to completion)
  • Monitor conversion rates between key stages
  • Track activity levels such as appraisals, viewings, and offers
  • Review property values, fees, and revenue
  • Compare performance across branches

When would I use this dashboard?

You might use the Sales performance dashboard to:

  • Review how well appraisals are converting into instructions, offers, and sales
  • Monitor activity levels such as viewings and offers
  • Identify where properties are dropping off in the sales lifecycle
  • Understand reasons for lost instructions or fall-throughs
  • Analyse revenue performance and fees
  • Compare performance across branches

Tabs within this dashboard

Appraisals

Based on appraisal dates that fall within your chosen date range.

  • Booked appraisals - Shows the total number of appraisals that have been booked within the time period specified
  • Completed appraisals - Shows the total number of appraisals carried out within the time period specified
  • Cancelled appraisals - Shows the total number of appraisals cancelled within the time period specified
  • Appraisal to instruction conversion rate % - Shows the percentage of properties which had an appraisal and were subsequently instructed within the time period specified
  • Lead source - Shows the breakdown of lead source for all appraisals booked in the time period
  • Table breakdown of appraisals - Shows the details of all properties for which appraisals have been booked, completed and cancelled during the time period

Instructions

Shows properties where the instruction status has changed within your chosen date range.

  • Won instructions - Shows the total number of instructions won in the specified period
  • Expected sale fee - Shows the total projected fees for instructions won in the specified period
  • Average instruction asking price - Shows the average asking price of all properties instructed during the specified period
  • Average sale fee £ - Shows the average projected instruction fee in pounds
  • Instructions won by month (last 12 months) - Shows the details of all properties instructed and their value in the 12 months leading to the date range
  • Average sale fee % - Shows the average projected instruction fee as a percentage of the sale value
  • Pending instructions - Shows the total number of appraisals completed in the date range where the status has neither been changed to won or lost
  • Lost instructions - Shows the total number of properties that were marked as not instructed after an appraisal took place within the date range
  • Reason for lost instruction - Shows a breakdown of the reasons given for lost instructions during the date range
  • Lost to another agent - Shows the businesses that won the instruction over the reporting agency
  • Table breakdown of instructions - Shows the details of all properties for which the instruction status has changed during the time period

Viewings

Based on viewing dates within your chosen date range.

  • Booked viewings - Shows the total number of viewings booked in the specified period
  • Completed viewings - Shows the total number of viewings completed in the specified period
  • Cancelled viewings - Shows the total number of viewings cancelled in the specified period
  • Viewings to offer conversion rate % - Shows the percentage of properties that had viewings in the specified period and then went on to receive an offer
  • Reason for cancellation - Shows a breakdown of the reasons viewings were cancelled in the specified period
  • Table breakdown of viewings - Shows the details of all properties with viewings booked within the date range

Offers

Based on properties that have received an offer within your chosen date range.

  • Accepted offers - Shows the total number of offers that have been accepted within the date range set
  • Average days on market - Shows the average number of days between a property being made available and an offer being accepted
  • Received offers - Shows the total number of offers received within the date range specified
  • Offer outcome - Shows the breakdown the outcomes of all offers received in the date range
  • Average days to offer accepted - Shows the average number of days properties were at each status from being instructed to having an offer agreed
  • Table breakdown of offers - Shows the details of all properties included in the data on this tab, along with a link to their property records

Exchanged

Shows insights for properties with a sale status of Exchanged within your date range.

  • Total exchanged - Shows the total number of properties exchanged within the date range specified
  • Total sales amount - Shows the total value of all properties exchanged in the date range
  • Average sale price - Shows the average price per sale of all properties exchanged in the date range
  • Total sale fee - Shows the total amount earned in fees for all properties exchanged in the date range
  • Average sale fee £ - Shows the average fee for all properties exchanged in the date range
  • Average fee % - Shows the average fee as a percentage of the sale cost for all properties exchanged in the date range
  • Exchanges by month (last 12 months) - Shows the number of properties exchanged each month for the preceding 12 months and the total sale value each month
  • Fees by month at exchange (last 12 months) - Shows the number of properties exchanged each month and the total sale fee at the time of exchange
  • Sale to asking price % - Shows the average percentage of the asking price properties sold at for all properties exchanged in the date range
  • Average days to exchange - Shows the breakdown of the average number of days properties spent at each status from being instructed to being exchanged for all properties exchanged in the date range
  • Table breakdown of exchanges - Shows the details of all properties included in the data on this tab, along with a link to their property records

Completed

Shows insights for properties with a sale status of Completed within your date range.

  • Total completed - Shows the total number of sales that have been completed within the date range specified  
  • Total sales amount - Shows the total value of completed sales within the date range specified
  • Average sale price - Shows the average value per sale based on completed sales within the date range specified
  • Total sale fee at completion - Shows the total earned in fees for completed sales within the date range specified
  • Average sale fee £ - Shows the average fee earned per sale for completed sales within the date range specified
  • Average sale fee % - Shows the average fee earned per sale as a percentage of the total sale amount for completed sales within the date range specified
  • Completions by month (last 12 months) - Shows the total number of sales completed and their value for each month over the last 12 months
  • Fees by month (last 12 months) - Shows the total number of sales completed and the value of corresponding fees for each month over the last 12 months
  • Sale to asking price % - Shows the average percentage of the asking price achieved for sales completed in the date range specified
  • Average days to complete - Shows a breakdown of the average number of days properties spent at each status from instructed to complete for sales completed within the date range specified
  • Table breakdown of completions - Shows the details of all properties included in the data on this tab, along with a link to their property records

Fall throughs

Shows insights about sales that have fallen through or properties withdrawn from the market within the selected date range.

  • Number of fall throughs - Shows the total number of sales that have fallen through within the date range given
  • Reason for fall through - Shows a breakdown of the reasons given for sales falling through where they are known
  • Number of withdrawals - Shows the total number of sales that have been withdrawn within the date range given
  • Table breakdown of fall throughs - Shows the details of all properties included in the data on this tab, along with a link to their property records

Branch comparison

Compares sales performance across branches.

  • Completed appraisals per branch - Shows the total number of appraisals completed by each branch
  • Appraisal to instruction conversion rate - Shows the percentage of appraisals which were converted to instructions for each branch
  • Average fee at instruction per branch - Shows the average fee percentage at the point of instruction for each branch
  • Expected sale fee per branch - Shows the value of expected sale fees at the time of instruction for each branch
  • Completed viewings per branch - Shows the total number of viewings completed by each branch
  • Viewings to offer conversion rate per branch - Shows the percentage of viewings which were converted to offers for each branch
  • Accepted offers per branch - Shows the total number of offers accepted for each branch and the total value of those offers
  • Average days from available to offer agreed - Shows the average number of dates from a property being made available to an offer being made for each branch
  • Total exchanged and value per branch - Shows the number of properties exchanged for each branch and the total corresponding sale price
  • Total completed and value per branch - Shows the total number of properties completed by each branch and the total corresponding sale price
  • Average days from available to completion per branch - Shows the average number of days properties spent at each status, from being made available to sale completion, for each branch
  • Total sale fee £ and % at completion per branch - Shows the total sale fee in £ and as a percentage of the sale value, at the point of completion, for each branch
  • Average sale price per branch - Shows the average sale price per branch
  • % of asking price achieved - Shows the average percentage of the property asking price that was achieved by each branch
