Alto IQ is part of Alto Intelligence - Alto’s suite of AI capabilities - and acts as your built in AI data analyst within Alto Analytics.

It turns your data into a conversation, allowing you to ask questions in plain English and receive instant visual answers, summaries, and insights.

Instead of manually building reports, Alto IQ helps you quickly understand what’s happening in your business, and why.

 Note

Alto IQ searches your Analytics data, rather than your full Alto database or any external systems. Focus your questions on areas such as sales, lettings, applicants, and property management

What can Alto IQ do?

Alto IQ helps you explore your data in a faster, more intuitive way. You can:

  • Ask questions about your data in natural language
  • Instantly generate charts, tables, and lists
  • Understand trends and performance over time
  • Identify unusual activity or anomalies
  • Compare results across time periods
  • Receive AI-powered explanations and summaries
  • Forecast future performance based on historical data

How does Alto IQ work?

Type a question about your data into Alto IQ

  1. Click Reports on the main navigation bar
  2. In the dropdown menu, click Analytics
  3. On the left hand side, click Alto IQ
  4. Ask a business question about your data

For example:

  • “What is the average sale price at completion by property type?”
  • “Why did applicant registrations drop last month?”
  • “Compare commission this quarter vs last quarter by negotiator”

Alto IQ will return:

  • A visual answer (chart, table, or KPI)
  • Supporting data
  • A plain English explanation of what’s happening

You can then drill into the data, ask follow-up questions, refine your query for deeper insights and pin useful answers to a custom dashboard.

For best results, start with a simple question, then ask follow-up questions such as “Why?” or “Show me [branch/negotiator] specifically” to move from a headline result to deeper insight.
